Stage Managment

Stage management allows me to explore Creative Professional Managment and bring incredible stories to an audience on a live stage. Seeing how actors respond set pieces and managing to flow of both backstage and on-stage elements is an outstanding way to truly observe story in motion. Any chance I get to surround myself in assisting bring these visions and stories to life I work hard to make it enjoyable for the cast and audience.

Play That Goes Wrong

My Experiences

I have been fortunate enough to have worked on these productions and share these stories with many different audiences. Below you can find more about these productions and how I worked to bring them to life.

SCAD Musical Theater Senior Showcase - Spring 2024

SCAD's top performance opportunity for graduating acting students to showcase their skills in an intimate setting for top casting directors.

As lead stage manager I assessed and fulfilled the needs of the cast and directors. I also coordinated with sound and lighting to ensure the environment was set for an elegant and private setting. My main goal was to ensure that all the actors had to think about was how to perform their best, while allowing the directors to concentrate on the performers rather than small details like shinning a guitar.

BAM! Black Artist in Music - Winter 2024

A celebration of Black History Month where SCAD Students preform alongside professionals as they sing their way through the history of Black musical artists with GRAMMY, Emmy, and Tony Award nominated stars.

I coordinated all aspects of the performance across two locations (Atlanta and Savannah, GA) through carful documentation and communication. As Assistant Stage Manager I managed the flow of props, costumes, band members, cast, directors and guest celebrities to ensure a successful execution of sold out performances.

Pippin - Spring 2023

SCAD's presentation of the Broadway Musical Pippin shares the tale of a young man's journey to become extra-ordinary, he ultimately discovers that true happiness lies in simple joys. This story is usually presented through a carnival visual where players entice Pippin. Although the character of the players were maintained the visual execution of the adaptation opted for an edgy punk rock style.

I prepared and managed necessary props, costumes, and set pieces, that involved speedy changeovers and actor quick changes. Serving as one of two stage hands in run crew on stage right I also had to manage the flow of cast and Lucas Theater employees and pay special attention to the function of the flyrails.

The Play That Goes Wrong -  Winter 2023

In this play-within-a-play hilarious consequences ensue as performers battle against every odd to make it to the end of their murder mystery play that is just destained to go wrong.

Transformed actors into their characters by following and developing makeup looks for the production. Using tools to match the needs of each actor to make them feel their best to give a confident performance onstage. I also managed an appearance quick change/gag involving mutton chops.
